The EMF European trade union conference on labour migration will provide an opportunity to consider the trade union response to current European Union policies. National examples as well as sector related cases will be presented and the challenges for trade unions when organising migrant workers will be also discussed.

It is foreseen at the conference to elaborate a joint declaration on labour migration. This event will contribute towards an increased awareness of the impacts of labour migration among metalworking trade unions. It will also help to ensure that there is a strong focus on this issue in the EMF as well as those of affiliated unions.
