The German Federal Institute for Geo-sciences and Natural Resources (BGR) is organising a workshop discussing “BGR Pilot Certification Project: Certified Trading Chains in Mineral Production”.

The workshop is hosted by Fatal Transactions and the Bonn International Center for Conversion (BICC) as part of their Annual Conference: “Private Companies and Emerging Economies in Zones of Conflict”.

The workshop is part of the Certified Trading Chains' consultation-process. The objective is to receive feedback and comments on the Certified Trading Chains concept from experts as well as from the various stakeholders e.g. civil society. Aim of the workshop is to extract from the discussion a suitable set of standards that consider both, minimum ethical requirements and feasibility.
