Member of the GoodElectronics network Toxics Link recently published a report on e-waste in India, which has now led to a discussion in the Indian Parliament. The findings of the report indicate that the producers of electrical and electronic equipment (EEE) are still shying away from their responsibility and there is a need to address many gaps and improve overall compliance.

The report is called 'Time to Reboot II', a continuation of 'Time to Reboot', which was published last year. You can read it here.

The Parliamentary questions were about the noncompliance of EEE producers with e-waste rules. You can find both questions and answers here.

Toxics Link emerged from a need to establish a mechanism for disseminating credible information about toxics in India, and for raising the level of the debate on these issues. The goal was to develop an information exchange and support organisation that would use research and advocacy in strengthening campaigns against toxics pollution, help push industries towards cleaner production and link groups working on toxics and waste issues.
