With an interactive map that shows the different materials, suppliers and manufacturing locations involved in making their phone, Fairphone shows what serious efforts towards transparency look like.
The company explains that all known suppliers to date are on the map, as well as some mine sites and smelters that it collaborates with. Individual points on the map can be clicked for additional information about the supplier in question.
