More than 100 NGOs and social movements in Mexico have documented cases of alleged corporate abuse in different sectors: mining, energy, oil & gas, agribusiness, and construction, among others. The report, compiling 68 cases, was presented in the context of the official visit of the United Nations Working Group on Business and Human Rights to Mexico.
At least 4 of this cases are related to the electronic industry. Including the alleged violation of the right to freedom of association, collective bargaining, labor rights, fair living wages; sexual harassment, threats and intimidation at Foxconn, Lexmark, ADC, and Commcope as well as occupational health violations in Ohsung, supplier to LG and Panasonic, and abuses by transportation companies providing services to Sanmina and formerly to Samsung.
