New Commodity Atlas links nine commodities with egregious labour abuses

Verité created a commodity atlas that shows the link between the worst forms of labour abuses, such as child labour and forced labour, and nine global commodities. One of the commodities in the atlas is gold, a metal that is used in many electronic products.

The commodity atlas provides an overview of countries where reported forced and/or child labour is used in the production of the commodity. By creating this atlas, Verité aims to contribute to raise public awareness about goods that are produced under forced labour conditions and modern forms of slavery.
