The GoodElectronics Network is pleased to announce that Jeroen Merk has been selected as the new International Coordinator. We welcome Jeroen and his commitment to improve human rights and sustainability situation in the global electronics supply chain.

Jeroen is an experienced researcher who has spent over two decades working in the field of labour rights. His exemplary track record of collaborating with unions, civil society organizations and researchers across the globe gained him a deep understanding of working conditions, private regulatory instruments, and social movements activities in the garment, footwear and electronics industries.

Jeroen’s publications span across topics of international relations, political economy, social movements, and global industrial relations. His works highlight the shifting nature of worker-employer relations within local, national and global supply-chains and the solidarity among civil society organizations and trade unions as they hold transnational corporations accountable for labour rights violations.

Jeroen holds a PhD in International Relations from the University of Sussex, Brighton.
