On Saturday the 21st of November the police raided several trade union offices in South Korea. The police claimed it was seeking evidence for participation in the protests on the 14th of November – when over 50 unions and organizations joined together in a mass mobilization against the regressive labour reform bill that will make it easier for employers to dismiss workers, implement lower wages and create more precarious employment.

Six different trade union offices were raided – including the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions (KCTU) and BWI’s affiliate the Korean Federation of Construction Industry Trade Unions (KFCITU).

Despite this intimidation, the unions have new actions planned for December.
