Original question as formulated in the survey: Do EICC member companies have language in their contracts with their suppliers which requires them to guarantee workers the right to collective bargaining?
EICC self-score:
EICC justifies this score by referring to VAP Protocol A7.2 via E12 .
GoodElectronics and ICRT score:
See comment in 4.1. GoodElectronics and ICRT note that there is nothing in either the EICC Code or the VAP Protocol that requires contract language with suppliers to guarantee the right to collective bargaining. GoodElectronics and ICRT object to EICC’s overly positive assessment and point to the considerable gap between EICC requirements and CSO expectations.
