Epeat is a registry organization for global greener electronics. Epeat aims to help companies, governments and consumers to compare and purchase greener PC’s and monitors according to achieve environmental benefits.
This February 12th, Epeat announced its expansion to imaging equipment as scanners, printers and copiers.
The EPEAT registry currently includes imaging equipment from seven manufacturers: Canon, Dell, Epson, HP, Lexmark, Ricoh and Xerox. Two additional manufacturers – Konica Minolta and Samsung – have begun the process of registering products with EPEAT. Combined, these nine manufacturers represent at least 80% of the global market for copiers, printers, scanners and multifunction devices.
