This report summarises the discussions during the GoodElectronics Global Annual Meeting, held online from 7-10 December, 2021. The meeting discussed arising challenges in 2021 and prospective activities for the global electronics movement to focus on in response over the coming years. There was a particular focus on the global landscape of the electronics industry in terms of impacts on communities, workers and the environment, as well as on the impact of Covid-19 on workers’ rights, with particular attention to the shrinking of civil space for electronics workers and accompanying organisations. A new project, Promoting human rights and accountability along global battery supply chains (2022-2024), was also introduced.

The Annual Meeting was an opportunity to hear from members about their own activities and to discuss what strategies and tactics the Network Coordinator and Regional Coordinator roles should focus on over the next few years. Members also discussed their own ideas for strategies and tactics that the Network as a whole could use throughout the event. Due to ongoing challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Annual Meeting was held online over Zoom, with sessions spaced out and repeated to overcome time zone issues.
