A warm salute to the workers of Fuji Electric Philippines, under the union LNMFEP-OLALIA-KMU, for successfully concluding their Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) on July 17. This achievement is a powerful reminder that through unity and collective action, workers can win meaningful gains for wages, jobs, and rights.

Among the victories secured in the new Collective Bargaining Agreement are a ₱50 annual wage increase from 2025 to 2027, seniority pay for longtime workers, allowances for rice, meals, and leaves, and additional benefits that further improve the overall welfare of the workforce.
According to KMU’s post in FaceBook, the CBA was not handed over easily. Even as the signing neared, workers continued their actions—including symposiums and noise barrages—to protest the company’s attempts to bargain down their demands. It was only through their courage, determination, and the leadership of a genuine, militant, and pro-worker union that they emerged victorious.
The Metal Workers Alliance of the Philippines (MWAP) extended its congratulations, noting that this win is not only a victory for Fuji Electric workers but a testament to the importance of organizing unions that genuinely serve workers’ interests.
“This victory is the result of the strong collective struggle of the entire union membership,” said MWAP Secretary Julius Carandang. “It proves once again that real, transformative change in the workplace is possible when workers stand together.”
This latest win comes on the heels of another successful CBA at Nexperia, marking back-to-back victories in the electronics sector. MWAP hopes these developments inspire more workers to unionize and fight for living wages, job security, and safe working conditions.
The Metal Workers Alliance of the Philippines (MWAP) is an alliance of trade unions and labor organizations representing workers across various industrial sectors in the Philippines. Established in May 2006, MWAP has since played a vital role in advancing workers’ rights and promoting genuine unionism in the country. It is a proud affiliate of the IndustriALL Global Union and serves as part of GE Philippines, which hosts the Good Electronics Network.
