This study funded by ETI Sweden and its members investigated state-sanctioned forced labor in battery and electric bus manufacturers in China. BYD, CATL, Durapower, LG Chem, Panasonic, Samsung SDI, SK Innovation, and Yutong were included in the study. The research discovered that three out of eight manufacturers received workers from registered poor households in seven provinces through labor transfers. State-owned corporations were also implicated in facilitating forced labor.
