In a conversation with SOMO and the GoodElectronics Network at the annual shareholder meeting in Amsterdam, NXP has offered to meet with the NXP Manufacturing Workers’ Union in Thailand to discuss the issues that were presented in a report by GoodElectronics this morning. The company says it does not recognize many of the conclusions of the report.

The report is about labour disputes at two of NXP’s back-end facilities. The company says it does not recognize many of the conclusions of the report and claims it has good relations with all its employees, but invites the Thai union, GoodElectronics and SOMO to discuss matters more deeply with the local management. GoodElectronics welcomes this step.
